Cyclist riding down empty city street lined with storefronts, daytime
Cyclist riding down empty city street lined with storefronts, daytime — from a SHMONG TV production.

These are real projects. For each one you'll see who we worked with, where we shot, what they hired us to do, how we ran the shoot, and what we handed back. Every SHMONG production ships with all raw footage at no charge, and our finished edits land in 5–7 business days.

We're based at 68 Jay St in DUMBO, Brooklyn, and we've delivered 4,500+ projects. When a job calls for it, we travel — Martha's Vineyard, Antigua, wherever the event is. Want to talk about yours? Tell us your date, location and what you need, and you'll get a written quote within 24 hours at contact@shmong.tv or the form at /contact.

MAC Cosmetics × National Black MBA Association — MAC SoHo

Client: MAC Cosmetics, in partnership with the National Black MBA Association. Setting: the MAC SoHo store in Manhattan, 2023.

The brief: capture an in-store shopping experience — the members moving through the space, the products, the interactions with MAC's team — as branded content both organizations could use.

How we shot it: a retail floor is a tight, mixed-light room, so we worked handheld and on gimbals with our 4K cinema cameras (RED and Sony FX series) to stay mobile between customers and displays. We shot close on product and detail and pulled wider for the room, and we brought pro lighting to keep skin tones and MAC's color accurate under store fixtures. No drone — this was an interior shoot.

What we delivered: a finished branded recap plus social cut-downs, with all raw footage included. Standard turnaround is raw in 24–48 hours and finished edits in 5–7 business days, with two rounds of revisions.

Why it worked: a store activation is about the feel of the space and the people in it. Shooting light and mobile let us document the experience as it actually happened, and clean color kept the product true to the brand.

a16z Cultural Leadership Fund — Dinner on the Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard

Client: the Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) Cultural Leadership Fund. Setting: "Dinner on the Bluffs," Martha's Vineyard, August 2026.

The brief: an event recap of the dinner, plus a vertical social cut for the CLF's channels. We've also produced "Own The Table" photo and video and a sizzle reel for a16z CLF.

How we shot it: we traveled to the Vineyard and covered the evening documentary-style — arrivals, the room, conversations and the speaking moments — on 4K cinema cameras with gimbals for movement and wireless lavs on the mics that mattered. An outdoor bluffs setting is made for aerials, so a DJI drone flown by an FAA-licensed pilot was part of our kit for establishing shots. We shot with both the horizontal recap and the 9:16 social cut in mind from the start.

What we delivered: a horizontal event recap and a vertical social cut-down, edited in Premiere and DaVinci Resolve, with all raw footage included.

Why it worked: planning the vertical framing on the day means the social cut isn't a cropped afterthought — it's built to hold attention on a phone, while the recap carries the full evening.

National Black MBA Association Women's Conference — S&P Global

Client: the National Black MBA Association, NY Metro chapter. Setting: the Women's Conference, hosted at S&P Global in Manhattan, 2022.

The brief: full conference coverage — panels, keynotes, networking and the feel of the day — for a recap the chapter could share.

How we shot it: a multi-camera setup with 4K cinema cameras to cover stage and audience without missing a speaker, gimbals for the room and B-roll, and wireless lavs plus board feeds where available to keep the panel audio clean. We supplemented the corporate venue lighting so on-camera talent read well. This is one part of our longer relationship with NY Black MBA, which also includes the Black Tie Gala, the State of Entrepreneurship panel, a NASDAQ Times Square segment and UpMixxer events.

What we delivered: a finished conference recap and social cuts, with all raw footage included and edits in 5–7 business days.

Why it worked: conferences move fast and don't rewind. Multiple angles and clean audio mean the recap actually captures the panels and the moments the way they landed in the room.

Black Health Connect × Northwell Health — NYC rooftop

Client: Black Health Connect, with Northwell Health. Setting: a rooftop networking event in New York City.

The brief: cover a professional networking evening — the conversations, the connections and the skyline setting — as content both partners could use.

How we shot it: rooftops give you a skyline and changing light, so we timed our coverage around it and shot on 4K cinema cameras with gimbals to move through the crowd. We used wireless lavs for any remarks and brought pro lighting to hold exposure as the daylight dropped into evening. With clear airspace and an FAA-licensed pilot, a DJI drone is available for exterior establishing shots on a setting like this.

What we delivered: an event recap and social cut-downs, with all raw footage included.

Why it worked: a networking event lives on energy and faces. Staying mobile and lighting for the sunset transition kept people looking their best while the recap held the mood of the room.

CDE Events — destination event in Antigua

Client: CDE Events, led by Collin Devon Williams — a client of ours since 2016. Setting: a destination event in Antigua, 2022.

The brief: travel to the Caribbean and cover a full destination event, delivered at professional quality on a tight timeline.

How we shot it: we brought our full travel kit — 4K cinema cameras, gimbals, wireless lavs and pro lighting — and, with an FAA-licensed pilot, a DJI drone for the aerials a destination setting is made for. Working with a client we've known since 2016 means we already know how they like their events covered, which shows up in the edit.

What we delivered: finished event video with all raw footage included. In Collin's words: "Best video production company we've worked with. They delivered professional quality in 5 days what other agencies promised in a month."

Why it worked: a decade of repeat work is its own proof — and the turnaround is real. Our finished edits ship in 5–7 business days, which is exactly the speed Collin called out.

Harlem Fashion Week — runway coverage

Client / event: Harlem Fashion Week 2023. Setting: the runway show in Harlem.

The brief: capture the runway — the looks, the walks and the room — as recap and social content the show and its designers could use.

How we shot it: runway is unforgiving on timing and light, so we ran multiple 4K cinema cameras — a locked head-on angle down the runway plus roaming gimbal angles for the crowd, the front row and detail on the garments. We lit for the walk so every look reads clean from end to end.

What we delivered: a runway recap plus vertical social cut-downs, with all raw footage included and edits in 5–7 business days.

Why it worked: a designer's looks only get one pass down the runway. Covering it head-on and wide at the same time means nothing walks by uncaptured, and the vertical cuts are ready for the show's and the designers' social channels.

Frequently asked questions

Do you travel for events outside New York?

Yes. We're based in DUMBO, Brooklyn and serve all five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester and northern New Jersey, and we travel nationally and internationally for select projects — Martha's Vineyard and Antigua are two examples above.

How fast will we get the footage back?

All raw footage is delivered in 24–48 hours, and finished edits land in 5–7 business days. A 48-hour rush is available if you need it sooner. Every project includes all raw footage at no charge, with two rounds of revisions on the edit.

Can you deliver both a full recap and vertical social cuts?

Yes — that's a standard delivery for us, as with the a16z Dinner on the Bluffs recap plus its vertical social cut. We plan the vertical framing during the shoot so the 9:16 cut is built for phones, not just cropped from the horizontal edit.

What gear do you shoot on?

4K cinema cameras (RED and Sony FX series), gimbals, wireless lavs and pro lighting, plus DJI drones flown by FAA-licensed pilots for outdoor aerials. We edit in Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve.

How do I get a quote?
